Question for those who work(ed) at ANY FAST FOOD RESTAURANT?

..... that sells burgers mainly. So, mcdonalds, jack in the box, burger king, wendys,. What else goes on the grill besides the patties? Do they fry the beacon on their as well? And what store have you worked at where you saw it happening? thanks.
Answers :
At Wendy's the bacon is put on cookie sheets and baked in the oven. The grilled chicken has its own grill. The only thing cooked on the dsg (double sided grill) is hamburgers.
I work at McDonald's, and we have 2 types of bacon, RTE (ready to eat) bacon which is defrosted then used at room temperature. We also have proper bacon, which is used in breakfast products.

Technically, the RTE Bacon never needs heated up, however, it's not uncommon to run out of defrosted bacon, and the only way to heat it up quickly enough to use, is to put frozen bacon onto the grill which is the same grill that is used for beef during main menu.

The normal bacon that is used during breakfast is steamed and kept warm in a holding cabinet. If a customer asks for their bacon to be crispy, then it has to be put on one of the grills which is either used for pork sausages or eggs. (Pork sausages and eggs use the same grills as beef on the main menu, but they are cleaned around the changeover.)
The fast food company I work for "W" has 3 grills all flat grills. 2 are used for burgers and a separate one is used for grilled chicken. Bacon is cooked in the oven. So for the most part only burgers go on the grill. They've also gotten alot stricter over the years meat has to be freah on the grill and there must always be meat cooking.
I won't say which. I'll just say they have a girl as their logo..............

Bacon is treated the same way as the beef patty. Fried on the same grill, then stored in a plastic bin inside a warmer above the grill until its needed/ordered by a customer. It could sit there for as long as a few hours. Don't remember how the meat stays heated in there (steam, electric warmers, or what). Whatever meat in the bin that doesn't get used is put in the chili & used as chili meat. The bacon is simply discarded (though the managers always did a good job of knowing how much they needed, so they didn't need to discard much).

However, this place was my first job out of high school, which was almost a decade ago, so I don't know if their methods of preparation have changed at all.
i worked at sonic and dairy queen when i was 16...
some restaurants have a flat grill and a charcoal grill. flat grill is where bacon, sausage, ham is cooked on and the charcoal grill is where the burgers are cooked on. ive seen people cook everything on the flat grill (beef and pork) just depends on why you ask really
